Accessibility Statement

The Hotel Resort Pörtschach strives to make its website [www.resort.werzers.at] accessible in accordance with applicable legal regulations. Our goal is to enable all guests—regardless of individual abilities—to use our online services as freely as possible.

Status of compliance with requirements

Our current website is based on an older technical system and does not yet fully comply with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, conformity level AA, as well as the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) and the EN 301 549 standard.
As part of the redevelopment of our website, which is scheduled for completion by January 2026, accessibility will be taken into account comprehensively from the outset. The new platform is designed to meet the legal requirements of the Accessibility Act (BaFG) as best as possible.

Planned measures

Together with our internet agency, we will implement the following improvements, among others, before the new website goes live:

Clear keyboard navigation including visible focus highlights
Optimized menu navigation and more accessible control elements
Extended ARIA attributes for semantic labeling of control elements
Improved accessibility of the booking process for screen readers
Optimized play/pause functions for videos that start automatically
Adjustment of hover and focus states for keyboard users as well
Gradual revision of all PDF documents into accessible formats

Non-accessible content

Currently, the following content in particular is not yet accessible or only accessible to a limited extent:

Interactive maps and embedded applications (e.g., third-party booking widgets)
Individual PDF files that are not yet structured with tags or optimized for screen readers
Older documents and media content published before the launch of the new website

The complete adaptation of all the elements mentioned would currently represent a disproportionate burden within the meaning of Section 12a (6) BGG. However, we strive to provide appropriate alternatives, e.g., by providing information by telephone or individual support.

Third-party components

Certain functions (such as the online booking process) are provided by external service providers. The respective provider is responsible for the accessibility of these services. We are in regular contact with them and suggest optimizations where necessary.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on September 11, 2025 on the basis of an internal self-assessment. It will be reviewed and updated in the event of significant changes or at least once a year.
